Manushi Chhillar: Being fit is important in these unprecedented times

The COVID-19 pandemic has altered our lifestyles drastically. From social distancing to work from home – lives have changed remarkably in the past two months. Staying physically and mentally fit has become even more important as health experts encourage us to build our immunity especially as we enter the Unlock 1 phase. During a recent virtual interaction, actress Manushi Chhillar (Miss World 2017), a known fitness enthusiast, spoke about how important it was to focus on physical as well as mental well-being.

She said, “I have always been into fitness and it is essential to inspire people and drive positive change in today’s times, whether it is to encourage people to stay healthy, inspire women in different ways, drive sustainability or galvanise kids to take up a sport.”

Talking about her fitness routine, Manushi said, “My fitness regime is holistic. I focus on a balanced lifestyle, getting adequate sleep, eating healthy food and being positive. All this plays an important role because health and fitness is not just about physical well-being, but also about mental, emotional and physiological well-being. Being fit is important in these unprecedented times and I would encourage everyone to take time out to be fit and healthy.”
