That means Black women are often excluded from the conversation around health, fitness, and nutrition—just another result of systematic racism. One place where I really notice this? My Instagram feed.
I follow my fair share of fitness influencers (mostly so I can save their IG workouts and *swear* I’ll do them later, even though…you know), but Black fitfluencers hardly ever come up on my Explore page or in my feed. And I knew I was missing out on some quality content as a result. So I decided to do what my Gen Z brain does best: an Instagram deep dive.
