Lancaster County reported nine new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, pushing its total to 1,697.
The Lincoln area has recorded 12 deaths.
Nebraska reported 124 cases on Sunday after reporting 251 on Saturday and 178 on Friday. Saturday’s number of cases was the highest number of one-day cases in the state since June 11.
Statewide, there are 18,899 cases and 267 deaths linked to the virus. The state has also registered 13,322 recoveries as of Sunday.
Hospitalizations, however, continue its downward trend, falling to 117 on Sunday, 6 fewer than Saturday’s count.
The largest number of new cases, representing the peak of the coronavirus in Nebraska, was reported on May 7 with 677 cases recorded.
