2020 George Bridges Virtual 5K Run/Walk

The Waukegan Park District invites the public to participate in the 2020 George Bridges Virtual 5K Run/Walk.

In its fifth year, the race will be a unique experience in 2020. Participants will compete with others by completing a 5K (3.1 mile) race on their own and at their own pace. Registration is required and is now open. Individuals can register in person at the front desk of the Field House Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Center or online at waukeganparks.org/5k.

The fee to compete is $10 per participant. Participants will receive a traditional race packet and a commemorative race T-shirt that can be picked up at the Field House Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Center starting Monday, Sept. 7.

All proceeds from the 2020 George Bridges Virtual 5K Run/Walk will benefit the Special Recreation Services of Northern Lake County — Waukegan, helping individuals with disabilities participate in camps, athletics, health and fitness programs, and more.
